ACCESSIBILITY STANDARDS FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

POLICY STATEMENT

Victoria Park Valley and Victoria Park East Golf Club are committed to providing its goods and services in an accessible manner. We recognize the diverse needs of all those using our facilities and strive to provide goods, services and facilities that are accessible to all. Reasonable effort will be made to ensure that goods and services are provided in a manner that respects the dignity and independence of people with disabilities. People with disabilities will have equal opportunity to use and benefit from the goods and services provided others.

PROCEDURES

The management and staff at Victoria Park Valley and Victoria Park East Golf Club will take into consideration a person’s disability when communicating with that individual.  Persons with disabilities accompanied by a guide dog or service animal are permitted in those areas of the premises open to the public. Persons with disabilities accompanied by a support person are permitted to be accompanied by that support person in those areas of the premises open to the public. Fees will be charged for support persons who partake of the services provided by both facilities. In the event of a planned or unexpected disruption to services or facilities for customers with disabilities, Victoria Park Valley and Victoria Park East Golf Club will notify customers promptly by posting notice as to the reason for the disruption, its anticipated length of time, and a description of alternative facilities or services, if available. Notification will be posted in the Pro Shop and Food and Beverage areas of the respective Golf Clubs as well as on the websites.

TRAINING

Victoria Park Valley and Victoria Park East Golf Club will provide training to employees who deal with the public or other third parties on our behalf. Training will include an overview of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005, Ontario Regulation 429/07, the requirements of the customer service standard, how to interact and communicate with people with various types of disabilities as well how to interact with people with disabilities who require the assistance of a service animal or support person.  The training will be provided to the staff at our annual orientation meeting.  A copy of the Club’s Accessibility Policies and Procedures will be included in the Employee Handbook.

FEEDBACK PROCESS

Customers who wish to provide feedback on the way Victoria Park Valley or Victoria Park East Golf Club provide goods and services to people with disabilities can download our Customer Accessibility Feedback Form and provide your feedback in the following manner: send an email to Louise@victoriaparkgolf.com, verbally communicate with an on duty manager, by telephone or in writing to either club at the addresses listed above. All feedback, including complaints, will be directed to the ownership and management teams of both Golf Clubs and will be responded to within 5 business days.

MODIFICATION OF THIS OR OTHER POLICIES

Any policy of Victoria Park Valley or Victoria Park East Golf Club that does not respect and promote the dignity and independence of people with disabilities will be modified or removed.
